Industries Department, Govt.of Odisha is responsible for promotion of all-round industrial development of the State and by that generates employment, attracts investment and become instrumental in the economic development of the State. Manufacturing continue to be an important facet of industries and plays a critical role in the economic development in Odisha through value addition to the natural resources. In due course this also fosters technology upgradation, acquisition of strategy capabilities and provides gainful employment to the underemployed and unemployed human resources.

Industrial Promotion & Investment Corporation of Odisha Limited (IPICOL) is the State Level Nodal Agency of the Government of Odisha. IPICOL functions as a one-stop shop for prospective investors looking to invest in Odisha.

IPICOL is the single point of contact to handhold and facilitate prospective investors. The facilitation cell at IPICOL assesses the land and utility requirement for a proposed project, facilitates the follow up on the project approvals within the timelines as per Odisha Industrial Facilitation Act and facilitates deemed approvals for projects for which the clearances are not issued by any Authority as per the specified timelines.

IPICOL has developed this software i.e. GOPLUS to act as a facilitation tool for investors and ease the location selection process.

Odisha Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation (IDCO) is the nodal agency for providing industrial infrastructure in the State of Odisha. IDCO has the specific objective of creating infrastructure facilities in identified Industrial Estate/Areas for rapid and orderly establishment and growth of industries, trade and commerce. Establishment of Industrial Areas, Industrial Estates, Functional Industrial Estates, Growth Centres etc. at different strategic locations and to provide infrastructure therein are the prime functions of the Corporation. IDCO has created a large land bank dedicated for industrial projects in Odisha. IDCO has created a large land bank of 86,727 acres, dedicated for industrial projects in Odisha.
